From Dr. Lipschultz

To our patients and our local community: WE ARE HERE IF YOU NEED US!

Due to the state of emergency induced by Coronavirus (COVID-19), our practice, as a family, is committed to doing our part to both “flatten the curve” while we provide a responsible service to our community. As we continue to monitor the developments of the novel COVID-19 virus, we wanted to take a moment to reassure you that our number one priority is the safety and well being of our patients and staff, and share with you some temporary actions we have taken:

WE ARE HERE IF YOU NEED US!
Firstly, rest assured we will be open for important eye health-related visits, and eye emergencies on an “as needed” basis. We are, however, postponing routine appointments for the time being.

CALL US WITH VISION RELATED QUESTIONS
Vision is precious, and our patients with chronic or urgent eye issues will receive the care they require. Call us at 708-481-4600 for an appointment or if you have any questions. If we are forced to modify this schedule we will notify you on our website, via email, Social Media, and our telephone message at 708-481-4600.

TELEMEDICINE IS HERE
We have also implemented virtual consultation for patients who have needs or questions, but are not able to come in to the office. We can authorize refills, answer some eye related questions, and evaluate how urgent a problem might be, then decide what action to take at the conclusion of the consultation. Please call this number:708-481-4600 and we can help guide you to having a video consultation with one of our doctors.

PROTECTING EACH OTHER
We are taking a number of steps to ensure the safety of our patients and staff while they are in the office. We will be asking all patients to wash their hands before entering the office, using the restrooms immediately outside our office entry. All patients will also be asked a series of screening questions before being seen for an appointment. Out of an abundance of caution, you may be asked these questions more than once during the scheduling and check-in process.

Our staff are disinfecting all of are equipment to keep our facility at the highest level of care and sanitation possible.

If you or your dependents has had contact with someone who has been confirmed to have COVID-19 or has symptoms consistent with COVID-19 (fever, coughing, and shortness of breath or difficulty breathing), please call CDPH immediately (within 3 hours) by calling 312-746-SICK (7425) Monday through Friday during business hours or 311 during evenings, weekends, and holidays.

If you are in Illinois, but outside of Chicago, please contact your local health department or the Illinois Department of Public Health coronavirus hotline at 1-800-889-3931.

REMEMBER…..
Here are a few reminders to help our community to grow past this period we all need to take measures that can help distant this virus. Please:

– Wash your hands frequently and use a paper towel to dry.
– Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth.
– Avoid close contact with people who are sick or traveled overseas to the impacted areas
– Stay home and practice social distancing
